Code of Conduct
All members, guests, and attendees are expected to:
- Treat others with respect, kindness, and professionalism
- Engage in good faith conversations and collaborations
- Be mindful of shared space, time, and energy
- Support fellow members without undermining or competing unfairly
- Communicate openly and respectfully, even in moments of disagreement
- Members are expected to engage without excessive self-promotion, unsolicited sales pitches, or pressure to buy, collaborate, or refer. WBCPDX is built on relationships first and networking should feel natural, not transactional.
- What’s shared within PDXWBC; whether personal, professional, or business-related-- should not be shared outside the group without clear consent.
This Collective is relationship-based. Behavior that disrupts trust or community will not be tolerated.
Inclusivity & Zero-Tolerance Policy
PDX Women’s Biz Collective is explicitly inclusive of:
- Women and non-binary folks
- LGBTQIA+ and trans communities
- Immigrants
- Black, Indigenous, and people of color
*We have zero tolerance for racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, xenophobia, ableism, harassment, hate speech, support of fascism or genocide, or discriminatory behavior of any kind… whether in person, online, or via private communication connected to the group.
Violations of this policy may result in immediate removal without refund.
PDX Women’s Biz Collective reserves the right to revoke membership or deny future participation at our discretion if a member:
- Violates these guidelines
- Acts in a way that harms the community or its members
- Is consistently not aligned with the values or mission of the Collective
- Removal decisions may be made with or without prior warning, depending on severity. Membership fees and event registrations are non-refundable in the event of removal.
This is not punitive… it is protective of the community. Organizers reserve the right to update these terms as the Collective evolves. Members will be notified of any significant changes.
Attendance and Commitment:
- We value consistency and commitment. If you no-show or cancel within 4 hours of a meeting three times, your membership will be revoked without refund. Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance to allow space for others. We understand emergencies happen, just communicate with us.
- Each meeting requires a $15 registration, which goes toward administrative costs, bookings, activities, and refreshments.
- Community grows best through community. If you refer someone who becomes a member, both you and the new member will receive one free meeting registration (a $15 value).
- We aim to be collaborative, but in the event of a dispute or issue, Chelsea and Jocelyn reserve the right to make the final decision in the best interest of the Collective.
- Membership fees are non-refundable. Volunteer event registrations are non-refundable. Meeting registration fees are refundable only if canceled at least 48 hours prior to the event. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the registration fee.
All this to say, be your authentic, amazing self and keep the vibes high. We feel lucky to have you and we thank you for being here. :)
By attending events or joining PDX Women’s Biz Collective, you acknowledge and agree to these Community Guidelines and Terms.
